Ice & Fire Con 2015 was version 3.0, and we definitely stepped things up a notch (or three, or seven)!
Of course we kept some of the favorite activities from years one and two – the Ommegang beer tasting, discussion panels, the boardgame competition, our mock tournament, the costume contest, and last year’s new events: ASOIAF trivia and the Saturday night dance party.
She founded Ice & Fire Con, the first ever Game of Thrones convention in the US, and now runs its parent company Saga Event Planning.

The new events really filled out our days and provided people with new ways to meet and get to know each other…because what better way to introduce yourself at a “Game of Thrones camp” than by “stabbing” a complete stranger with a plastic spoon?
Their clever approach is to create an evening featuring the sounds of some very talented vocal stylists (all performers under the age of 21) and then finish the evening with Sparks of Insanity.
The Sparks of Insanity are the only professional teen improv troupe in New Jersey and have been performing for over four years.
There are some combinations which seem to be perfectly together, such as peanut butter and chocolate, rice and beans, or Abbott and Costello.
But recently we are seeing another combination of two great things put together as one to create something unique and satisfying. Although jokes and beats have been put together before, the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts is taking a different approach with their presentation of Lyrics and Laughter Junior- An Evening of Comedy and Song.
Joseph’s Childrens Hospital in Paterson, Orange Street School in Cranford, Bloomfield Harvest Fest, and the Warren Arts Festival just to name a few.
